HS SENIOR FAQ
USEFUL TIPS AND ADVICE FOR YOUR PHOTOSHOOT
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your senior portraits will be customized to show your individual style and special interests. Your senior year is such a special time in your life, this time is about you! During your session you get to just be you, so relax and have fun creating the beautiful pictures you deserve.
A deposit will hold your selected date. The final amount is paid ahead of your session date or on the day of your session. This payment is non-refundable, but is transferable. We will then chat on the phone or via email. I like to get to know you and your personal style, your likes and dislikes and the type of looks you would like. We will chat about your special interests and whether you would like to incorporate them into your session. You will decide if you would like professional hair/makeup and what type of clothes to wear. I suggest getting ideas from magazines or my PINTEREST account for Senior photography. We can text or email about the images that inspire you.
Travel
A $45 travel fee applies to areas 25 miles outside of 30009 zip code.
WHEN TO BOOK YOUR SESSION
I am currently booking sessions but take on a limited number of sessions per month to ensure my clients get the best experience possible. To make sure I am available during the time of the year you want, I recommend contacting me as soon as you are interested in booking. Please make sure you book in plenty of time for printing graduation announcements, year book and other school deadlines. I would suggest at least 6-8 weeks before deadlines.
HOW TO BOOK YOUR SESSION
To find out more, either fill out the contact form, call/text 678.602.2283 or send me an email paula@psebuschphotography.com with any questions you may have. I look forward to getting back to you during business hours to discuss your session and book your date.
LOCATIONS
I love to shoot outdoors in natural light. I have a list of different locations, we will discuss the many locations that could suit your look and style.
Please keep in mind that early morning and late afternoon are the best time of day for your photoshoot as this is the most flattering light.
WHAT TO WEAR
I am always here to give suggestions and would like to see what you have picked out, so I ask if you could text your outfits prior to your session so I can get a good feel for your style. Most importantly, your look and style of clothing needs to reflect who you are. I have created a PINTEREST board with lots of different outfit, makeup and hair ideas.
Stay away from large logos and graphics, unless it’s your future college of course!
I suggest staying away from green as this can often blend into the background.
Look for ways to layer your clothing, such as Jackets, scarves and hats.
Think accessories, jewelry, flowers for your hair, hats and scarves can give a nice unique touch.
Choose colors that compliment your skin tone and eye color.
Change up the colors on multiple outfits. Think about colors that fit the background and the season, as well as the location.
Choose different styles for multiple outfits, think casual, sporty and dressy.
Make sure you LIKE your wardrobe choices. It's important that you look and feel your best during our shoot.
Make sure all clothes are in good shape, clean and wrinkle free.
Nothing that shows your bra straps and underwear, unless it's intentional.
If you want to wear heels, make sure you bring comfy shoes to walk in.
No chipped nail polish!
Again, these are all just guidelines, not rules. If you feel strongly about something, by all means bring it.
Bring your best smile and you will get the best pictures!

PROFESSIONAL HAIR AND MAKEUP
This is completely up to you. It really depends on how confident you feel about doing it yourself. Many of the pictures you see in my galleries, the clients did their own hair and makeup and they look beautiful. This is a personal choice, but keep in mind that professional hair and makeup will not only make you look extra special, but will make you feel extra confident and beautiful.
ON THE DAY
I like clients to arrive a little early to the location so we can look over your clothes as well as check over hair and makeup.
I will give you lots of posing ideas and direction throughout your session so you feel at ease. The candid photos are of often the best as this is when you are the most relaxed. Don’t worry about what to do, I’m here to help you!
I want more than anything for this to be a fun and relaxed experience for you. So we will take as many breaks as you like.
What to bring:
Bring a selection of your favorite outfits for the day as well as couple of extra outfits.
Accessories, such as flowers for your hair, hats, scarves etc.
Comfy shoes to walk in for in-between scenes changes.
Makeup, such as lip stick, lip gloss, powder. Hair accessories, brush and hairspray.
Any props you would like to include, such as musical instruments you play, sports equipment or your pet!
A blanket or towel for covering up with while changing outfits in your car.
Something to drink or a snack.
WHO TO BRING WITH YOU
It’s always a good idea to have an extra pair of hands to help. Feel free to bring mom, dad or a friend as long as you’re comfortable in front of them, if not it’s totally ok to come by yourself! It can be fun having someone close to share this experience with and they can be very helpful with carrying any of your items, outfit changes, as well as hair and makeup etc.
WHERE TO CHANGE
If there are no restrooms, I have a changing tent that I bring with me. Also, we may do some walking so bring a pair of comfy shoes or flip-flops for in-between scene changes.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
After your session I will carefully select the best photos for you to choose from, then basic editing and color correction is applied. You will receive your photos via an online gallery to review within 30 days.
Prints and other product orders will arrive within 4-6 weeks depending on the type of products ordered.
Please note that I only release fully edited images, not only to protect my brand, but to also ensure you are receiving the best quality fully-finished portraits. Although some clients feel the need to see all the images that were taken, please understand that many photos are taken just to test the lighting or background. Sometimes your hair may be in your face or it’s an unflattering angle. I can ensure you that you will get the very best edited images from your session.
Your final images are yours to share on social media as much as you would like. Credit to @psebuschphotography is always appreciated!
